Living Green :)

SO me and hubby like to stay green even if its little things. We currently have 2 rain barrels to help with water. We recycle like probably everyone out there but even the little things matter. I will be posting some of our green living purchases and about things we do to help the environment.

So the first thing I will post is a small purchase but hey, every little bit helps!

Its a bamboo toothbrush! We are really into bamboo. We have a few plants here at the house and really cant believe that its not used more because of house sustainable it is and not to mention how fast it grows!

This toothbrush is so green. Even down to the wrapping which is compostable and made from plants! The box is made from recycled paper and of course the toothbrush itself is biodegradable because its made of bamboo. Oh and just a little factoid... Around 2 billion plastic toothbrushes end up in landfills every year!!!

I know I know your thinking..."Show me the brush!" Ok well here it is!

Just kidding! Its the box though... Oooo. Ok no really here is the brush:

The Bamboo

So here are our bamboo plants! The are so beautiful. We have two. This one in the photos has new sprouts that are growing so tall!!! 

Eventually we will probably take a sprout and start another plant. The only down fall with them is they do take more water then a standard plant. But its so worth it. Hubby wants to eventually make some reusable straws out of them too. :) He is always looking for ways to use bamboo!
